Electronically Tuned Intake System by AEM
The AEM 41-1408DS Performance Air Intake System replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S models. The air intake system comes with a black rubber topped AEM high-flow air filter and a lidded, AEM embossed heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through a custom-tuned polyethylene intake tube and into the engine’s throttle body. The greatly reduced air-flow restriction is designed to produce more horsepower and torque from your vehicle’s engine. The AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed (depending on driving conditions). The air intake is designed for easy installation and requires commonly available tools to do the job. The intake tube accommodates factory emissions control devices including crank case vent hoses, air temperature sensors and mass air sensors where applicable. This air intake system comes with AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the AEM catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.
